Decadent Gingerbread Mocha
Ingredients
- 2 cups freshly brewed coffee
- 2/3 cups milk of choice
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon chocolate chips
- 1/8 teaspoon ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon cloves
- Dash of salt
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
- Sugar to taste
- Whipped cream
Directions
Pour the freshly brewed coffee into a warm saucepan to dissolve the unsweetened sugar, ginger, and cloves. Remove from heat and gradually stir in milk and heavy cream. Add chocolate chips and a dash of salt to your favorite (branded!) mug, and gently pour in the warm mocha to melt the chocolate. Top with whipped cream, a dash of cinnamon—and enjoy!
Makes 2 servings.
S’Mores Hot Cocoa
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups milk of choice
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 ounces roughly chopped milk or dark chocolate
- Dash of salt
- 6 large marshmallows
- 2 tablespoons crushed graham crackers
Directions
Starting with a cool saucepan, slowly warm milk and heavy cream. Whisk in sugar, cocoa powder, and chopped chocolate. Once all ingredients are incorporated, remove from heat. Add a dash of salt to your favorite (branded!) mug, and pour in the hot cocoa. Top with 2-3 large marshmallows and set the mugs of hot cocoa on a cookie sheet. Place the cookie sheet under a warm broiler for ~30 seconds until marshmallows turn light brown. Remove from oven and top with crushed graham crackers before enjoying.
